In 2016, Ghost Boat (Medium's crowdsourced investigation into the disappearance of 243 Eritrean refugees), which I art directed and produced, was nominated for an Ellie from the American Society of Magazine Editors. Medium's Matter magazine was the first online only publication to be awarded an Ellie in the Reporting category, and was won numerous medals from the Society of Publication Designers.
Previously, I was Senior Editor with Guernica Magazine, the award winning literary journal of art and politics, Editor with OSMOS, an editorial and curatorial platform focusing on contemporary art and photography, as well as Photography Editor with The Wall Street Journal.
Way back when, I worked in The White House under the illustrious Pete Souza. I'm also a proud member of the artist collective, MJR.
